The ideal joint replacement for CMC thumb arthritis.

Introducing a new trapeziectomy alternative and treatment for thumb CMC joint pain.
If you have debilitating hand and thumb pain caused by osteoarthritis you may already know that treatment options are limited. If your condition is serious enough, your doctor may recommend surgery.
The ZEPART® Implant

Designed to adapt to the hand’s natural movements.
ZEPART® offers an alternative to trapeziectomy procedures, one that can restore mobility, relieve pain and retain strength – without compromise. Our revolutionary implant meets the surgeon’s need for a stable, functional, adaptable thumb CMC joint replacement. Implementation of the ZEPART joint replacement has the potential to address pain management and function for the 200,000+ patients annually who seek a surgical intervention in the U.S. alone.
The device shown is currently under development and has not yet received FDA clearance or approval. It is not available for sale in the United States.
How it works.
ZEPART is specially designed to restore function in thumb carpometacarpal (CMC) joints damaged by osteoarthritis. The implant is a stemmed device used for complete joint replacement of the trapezium bone. It replicates the hand’s natural geometry and resting position of the thumb. Similar in concept to a knee replacement, the stemmed implant mimics the function of your healthy joint before it was damaged by arthritis. With ZEPART, natural movement is restored.
