Sandia Medical Technologies was launched with the development of our flagship product, the ZEPART® implant. ZEPART began out of compassion for patients, developed in response to observed patient needs by Hand and Wrist Orthopedic Specialist, and Chief of Medical, Dr. Nathan Morrell. Dr. Morrell was dissatisfied with surgical treatments for CMC arthritis, finding that an ideal solution to the problem had still not been realized, especially one that worked for young or active individuals. Wanting the best solution for his patients, Dr. Morrell conceptualized the implant with our expert team of engineers, and the ZEPART product was born.
Along the way, our ZEPART team expanded to include experienced med tech executive Rick Thomson, who serves as CEO and president as we launch Sandia Medical Technologies. Today, our team stands out from the rest as an exceptional, expert union of the best and brightest from multiple industries, united by a drive to improve the lives of our patients and by a philosophy to only design meaningful, uncompromising solutions.
